“We hired Orca Masonry Northwest originally to install a rock bulkhead on our waterfront lot at Dewey Beach. What they created was much more than just a bulkhead that protects our property…it’s a major highlight of our property. We were visualizing something purely functional, and they created a waved, tiered and walkable wall that not only fully protects, but is a work of art in itself. That was just the beginning, as when we built our house, we hired Orca Masonry Northwest to handle all of the patios, walkways, and water features planned for the property.
Once again, they carefully listened to our input, reviewed the property and it’s potential in minute detail, and came back with a plan that was incredible. One example….we have a running creek, framed with giant Alluvial fan boulders weighing up to 22,000 pounds, flowing over a series of small waterfalls to a pond adjacent to our patio. The work they did on our property is no less than stunning, and is immediately the center of attention when visitors arrive. It is no small addition to their abilities, that Nathan, Eric, and their team are so easy going and fun to work with. “In the late spring of 2020, Orca Masonry Northwest completed a massive rockery and landscape project for our family. We were so impressed with the results!
Our project included hundreds of feet of new retaining walls, several fabricated concrete stairs, a scenic patio sitting area, and a beautiful outdoor entertaining area – including a fire pit. Everyone who had been to our home, having seen the before, and after has been totally amazed. The first thing said is “wow, who did such amazing work?” I share “Orca Masonry Northwest!” As backdrop we had spoken to a few contractors before but did not quite feel confident that they had the skillset for this. Once we had Nathan come out, we knew he could do it and we actually added to the project over time since we were so confident that he could make it happen.
With some encouragement, Nathan recommended we do a patio upgrade. I was so glad in the end that he spoke up and made the recommendation because that also turned out beautifully. They are thoughtful about details and have a good eye for design.

“A It all started with a simple rock wall to enclose a generator. The work was so impressive we expanded to a new large terraced flagstone patio. This replaced an old concrete sloped patio. Orca Masonry did a beautiful job, but most importantly took care of the fine details. Terracing was done to maintain our sight lines to the water and they also resolved several drainage issues.
We loved the work so much we had them terrace another property installing rock walls, sidewalks and patios that turned a hard to manage sloped yard into functional lawn and garden space. Orca’s workmanship is the highest quality and they have the eye of artists. We love their work and highly recommend them. Not to mention Nathan, Eric and the whole crew are fun to work with.”

“We hired a “Paving Contractor” R. D. to re-contour our driveway, install appropriate water drainage and about 4,500 square feet of a special ecology block Driveway Paver at 15 Chick Rd, on Camano Island! Unfortunately he improperly installed under-sized water drainage that lead to no where and inadequately prepared the soil before abandoning our project leaving 6 pallets of our pavers precariously stacked at the top of our driveway!
We Contacted “Terrazo and Stone Supply Co.” in Smokey Point, where we had purchased our pavers. We requested their help to find a more reliable, competent, contractor to help repair the disaster Richard D. had left behind, even though he had been paid in full to complete our driveway.
After a couple of rainy months, Terrazo and Stone Supply contacted us (Very Highly) recommending Nathan Haney (co-owner) of Orca Masonry Northwest Inc. We contacted them and soon met at our property so they could assess our driveway project. They soon came back with a very compressive Analysis and Estimate of what was required to remove and replace the botched water Drainage problems and the improperly installed Ecology block pavers. The estimate was reasonable so we agreed and signed their contract leaving the details to them. When they completed the job they had made outstanding decisions in completely resolving the water drainage capacity issues and greatly improved the contour of our driveway and it’s re-compaction prior to relaying of about 95% of the total pavers!
All of the men who worked on the repair project were of the highest caliber, ethics and professionalism they gave us our Dream Driveway! We would not only give them our highest recommendation, but I can tell you that, you won’t find any more continuous, caring and trustworthy people to work for you!!!”
